The French German Joint Programme for technological research

The Programme Inter Carnot Fraunhofer is a joint-programme from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) for collaborative research and innovation projects between Fraunhofer Institutes (FhI) and Carnot Institutes (IC).

The goals of this programme are:

  • Enhance scientific leadership in national and international R&D
  • Prepare the transfer of technology and knowledge to industry
  • Create long-term strategic French-German alliances between excellent research organizations
